Who We Are

Hello!

We are Casey and Wendi Olson. Casey is originally from Sitka, Alaska, and Wendi from Washington State. For many years the Pacific Northwest was our home and both of our young children were born there. It’s a beautiful place, and we thought we would stay there forever. However, in recent years, Washington leaders have taken what we feel is an insanely wrong turn, with government over-reach, high taxes, and insane social policies. When they defunded the police, sadly, we knew we had to leave.

Although we had never even visited Tennessee, we felt like God paved a way for us, and led us to the little town of Sweetwater, TN. In the summer of 2021 we stumbled upon and purchased a wonderful historic property built in 1859 on Sweetwater Creek, beside the train tracks. It was originally called The Brookside farm, and later, The Whistlestop.

This amazing property has enough room and land that we knew it would be perfect for our dream of working as a family to glorify God. A Christian family camp and bed and breakfast, with space for weddings, parties and so much more.

Casey is an electrician and manages the property. Wendi has a background in public relations and extensive restaurant experience, and loves to cook and entertain. Together in our new home we are blending our faith, talents, hopes and dreams into one special place we call home: Whistlestop Manor.

We will not support the vaccine mandate, we will not do business with anyone that enforces these tyrannical policies. We welcome everyone to our home, and will do everything we can to make your stay comfortable.

As our southern neighbors like to say, “Y’all come come see us real soon!” - Casey and Wendi

We’re a Christian family on a mission to have a lot of fun, and help get people into heaven!
